Common warning signs

  • You are asked to pay for a visa, a medical, a ticket, training or "processing"
  • The job is not on the employer's own careers page
  • The recruiter writes from a personal email or only on WhatsApp
  • The salary is far above normal for the job, or the interview is skipped
  • You are rushed to decide or to send passport copies

In the UAE, employers pay recruitment, permit and visa costs. Never pay anyone for a job.
